what kinda rubber are you going to run in autocross? i am assuming you are going to a wider rim huh harvey?

i know i asked ya this already, but i lost track of that post
Thinking about 235/50 Kuhmo's. And I'm keeping the rims. I like the 16's for some reason.
why not 245/50s? i have those on my rear wheels and they work pretty good
Cus I'm keeping the same size front and rear, and I don't want 245's up front.
they won't rub. i have 205/60s up front. it looks cool but i want 265/50s out back

I'm not worried about rubbing. I want all 4 the same size so I can rotate my tires. Make them last longer.

for autocross, wouldnt a wider wheel allowing for a wider tire and larger contact patch be extremely benificial to you even with tokico illumina shocks/struts and eibach pro springs and steeda c&c plates i didnt get half the bite i got after i went to a 18x9 and 275's at all four corners/???????
I think racer02 said this yesterday....but when you get wider tires....there is less weight per square inch on your tires, so you don't get as much grip? He said something along those lines.....

hmmmmm never seen a racecar on skinnies before, have you? sorry but my real world experience shoots that to hell. your talking a difference of 2 inches which will increase your contact patch, not enough to affect weight dispersion though

Well I guess I'll use harv's ***** post to make my own. I just got a Sony X-Plod 1100W amp today and my best bud installed it for me and damn, talking about a kick *** sound, now all I got to do is get a newer set of base speakers and I'll be pushing Competition levels, hey my cars slow, so I got to have something to brag about with it, but at least Jason, that's my best bud, said my car has much more mussle than it used to, he doesn't ride with me that much and he also said he was rather impressed with it, although he drives a Lincoln, yea its a grandma car with the same 3.8L as me. Oh one more ***** post. The other night I did 0-60 in 6.9s. no BS. But there is a catch. It was Christmas eve and it rained that day and when I guned it I totally lost traction for roughly 1/8 of a mile and no traction with a nice deal of hp being supplied equals good tire accelleration, yea it was cool, I guned it, and started my stopwatch and the speedometer quickly hit 60 and just as it hit, I shifted gears, gained traction and droped back down to 45 mph, but damn that was a pretty cool feeling, just thought I'd share these two with yall.

He means, good acceleration without actually going anywhere...kind of like if you were on a dyno...

oh, they're worth it. the car doesn't feel like it's going to tip over when you make hard turns with them. i can't imagine driving a stang without them now.
