Nope, your wrong, but particially correct cviteri. Your year has 3.27s, and the 94-98 V6 and V8s have woppen 2.73s. Yes anything bigger than those pathettic gears are worth it, whomever told you they're not should be shot, ran over by a train, and burned. 3.73s are good, but you'll regret not getting 4.10s later. The gears will really help free up accelleration, especially on a V6, but you will also need a the bearing kit, fluid for your rear end, and a 23 tooth, I think that's what it is, gear that keeps your speedo straight because without it, it'll be way off. Now yes you will consume more gas because you'll be running at higher rpms, but it won't be any worse than maybe 1-2 miles less a gallon, maybe. Also get a t-lok differential, because the stock differentials suck, but read the stickys on gears and t-loks if you want to learn more.

Go 4.10's and a T-lok. Best bang for the buck. Best mod I did to my Stang!

no, 3.73s aren't worth it. get the 4.10s or don't bother getting gears at all.

you won't actually use that much more gas. what uses more gas is getting on it all the time. you will do that for a while

he said 1-2 miles a gallon. that's about accurate if you do a lot of highway driving due to the slightly higher RPMs. if you just do city driving and you drive normally, then you probably won't see any difference at all.

1-2 isn't anything you're going to actually take notice of anyway. you can see 1-2 different just driving the car slightly harder than usual when it's stock.

Holly crap, nanki actually agrees with me on something, could this be a turn around between us and our constant arguing.
