i really like the look of the 03/04 cobra bumpers. i ordered mine tuesday from ford and it should be here tomorrow. unfortunately, they dont come with the lights from ford so i gotta look around for them on ebay or the like... as well as a wiring kit (since i have a 01 v6).

it's my first real 'mod'.
Congrats! My first mod was an appearance mod, my grille delete... but its a relief to do even something small like that.

Now you're gonna have the mod bug. It's like a bad addiction you can't get rid of. haha.
Appearance as your first real mod?? RICERS

I've got black bumper inserts, Mach 1 chin spoiler, and a black shorty antenna and I think the car looks damn good! That shinoda chin spoiler looks okay but it's a bit too bulky and it looks like *** on the sn95 body style IMO. I was going to do the grille delete but I love the way the stock grille looks with the chin and the GT hood scoop. Maybe I'll do fog lights as well. As far as appearance mods go, I think the only things I may do now are window tint, and blacked out headlights/tail lights. Oh, and I'm gonna order a 232 badge from Autobadges!

The Pony Package 04 torch red alread looks much faster than what it actually is, and the chin spoiler definitely doesn't help. I've gotten a lot more people revving at me since I put that on.... so I don't want to do too much.

I want an honest opinion from everyone though about the chin spoiler. I know that putting cobra emblems on V6s is gay because it makes the car look like something it's not.... but do you guys think the chin spoiler is just as bad?

I think it looks awesome though!

I don't think they look gay, I just like how the pony has an outline around it in the grille.... the Mustang logo hasn't looked like that since the 70s!

the honeycomb grille was a really good idea. whatever year they started using that, 02 was it? looks way better than any grille from the new edge style before that.

Only thing I don't like about the grill is that when rock hit it the black plastic turns whitish

In 99, when they changed to a new model look. I have a 2000 and I had the fugly grille.

As for the person looking for what the grille delete looks like:

I still need to get a picture of my mach1 grill and chin spoiler combo. Maybe today since I just washed her.

No prob hun!

I want some smoked headlights actually. And I think the ones I was looking at had clear corners as well. I'm going to get some rims first though, and if I have money left over from my tax return, I'll do something else.

If you're unsure of what you want, have some of the guys in the chop shop put both grilles on and then see what you think looks better.
