Default v6 power

Now I dont hardly ever come in to the v6 and 4 cylinder threads, but I had a question about a v6. What kind of times would you be able to see from a v6, 99-04 with just some basic bolt ons. I know they can handle alot of power as I read in other threads, but I'm talkin about just bolt on's. Any ideas? And does the 3.9 from the 04's make for a better v6 than the 99-03? I know they are 3.9 instead of 3.8, but wasnt sure if the aftermarket was the same. Thanks for all the help.

its the same engine with a little bit more stroke. If its good for 99+ 3.8's it will work on a 3.9. Basic bolt ons are cold air = 2-3 hp , duals 2 1/4 with muffler of choice 4-5 hp , underdrive pully 4-5 hp. BTW i'm from knoxville tennessee.

jgt58, thanks for the replies, but I hope to get more replies sometime. Knoxville is a ways away from where I'm at, but hey, were in the same state. I know it would take alot of time and money to build a fast v6, but I was just wondering the capabilities. I know a guy here that has an 02 v6 with an auto and he would beat my 01 GT. Hes put alot of money into it and he is still N/A.

a basic V-6 5 speed will see mid to high 15s with a good driver, usually low 16s, an auto low 16s but both have problems hooking up with the open diff, my goal is to break into the high 15s stock in the spring, ive been practicing launching

Now assuming your not a friend of matthockey, what exactly does your friends V-6 have done to it?

LOL. I know what you mean about the Matthockey thing. I'll go on the website where I know the guy from and get the cars specs.
