So the 4.10 gears and a T-lok will increase the acceleration or what? lol

Sorry Im pretty new to the idea of under pulleys and gears. and I have no friggin idea what a t-lok is. ill look it up.

What exactly does a tuner do. Just like an adjustable performance chip or somthing?

Underdrive pulley's seem to be the popular choice so Ill get into that.




And I have put thought into the wheels. believe me. I'm not a fan of the ones I have.

The tuner reprograms the cars ECM to more performance perameters. But it also can reprogram the tranny also.

Harvey you gotta make it easier to understand for a newbie.

What the tuner does it adjust settings that the computer of your car has...for example when to SHIFT to the next gear and so force to get more acceleration/power out of the mustang

 

I was making it simple Erick! I could have said it remaps the fuel injection, adjusts timing, resets rev limiter, adjusts shift pressure, and shift points, recalibrates the speedometer for diferent gears, turns off/on the O2 sensors, resets when the cooling fan comes on or off, etc....

Oh, I forgot the most important thing, it can TURN OFF THE G*D DAMN SPEED LIMITER!!!!

ps Rev Limiter is the thing that kicks on when you go the MAX mph on your car...say 112mph or so.

 

its closer to 120, prob 118 ive heard, i dont know i dont stare at it at that speed

a t-lok locks both wheels together so they spin at the same speed, 6ers come with open diffs which spin both tires until 1 tire looses traction then 100% of the power goes to that 1 wheel

 

NOoooooooooooo...the rev limiter is the thing that shuts power down when you hit MAX RPM, not MPH. THAT'S the SPEED LIMITER.....
