why would you go to the shop doing brakes is the easiest thing that one could do. ESPECIALLY on a mustang with the flip up calipers. But if you were to go to a shop expect prolly like $300. otherwise if you did it yourself then maybe $150.

i would do it myself, but when i went to take off the front calipers , i couldnt get them bolts to move. i hit them with the air ratchet and even the impact gun. and they just wouldnt budge, i know its cheaper for me to do it plus i want s/cd rotors. ill try to get them off tomorrow

If you want to get them off easy then buy a can of Liquid Wrench. I am serious. Buy that and spray it on the bolts. Then let it soak in for like 15 minutes or so and go and try them with all your might. Or spray it on and let it sit and then put your ratchet in there and take a rubber mallet to the end of the ratchet. Make sure your ratchet is not some stubby the longer tool you have the more levrage you have. So try that. But definately buy some liquid wrench it will free them right up.

where do you live and why werent you doing it in a garage with a heater??? haha Well bro if you cant get them off with that then I guess you could heat them up LIGHTLY with a regular propane torch DO NOT USE MAP GAS that **** will be way to hot. So heat them up lgihtly when you are sure there is no liquid wrench remaining on them and see if you can break them loose then.

Just use a sturdy socket wrench and add a length of pipe to give you more torque. That's what I do when they get stubborn. I just did mine a couple of weeks ago. I paid $150.00 for a set of slotted and drilled rotors from www.stangsuspension.com, and about $75.00 for the Hawke performance pads. They work a hell of a lot better than the stock setup. I even painted the calipers and added the running pony sticker. I am posting a pic in a new thread.

Oh damn. I forgot about the old torx crap. I am SO GLAD they went back to hex. Might want to think about switching the caliper bolts back to hex if you can.
