can you put a 99-2003 engine into a 97 model 3.8l????and if you can how much would that engine cost????if not how much would a 97 3.8l engine cost me??

Yea you can, but you'll need to change out a crap load of stuff as you'll need to basically make that 97 a 99+ outside of the body, because the engine has a totally different ecu, coil pack location, different air intake setup, and many other things. But yea it will fit as the 94-04 are basically the same frame, just the edges have a more powerful modern engine and the body is slightly squared off, but outside of that, they're the same car.

For real, that would be one badass engine. If your gonna try and do a swap, I would go with a DOHC engine. Either the one with the S/C from the 03/04 Cobra or even a Mach 1. Forgot to mention, its gonna cost an arm and a leg to do the swap, so be prepared.

and you have to be single port to do the swap, pm cobra 232 he knows more then me on this.
