Default Couple questions...

Ok, I finally got to buy the '87 LX Convertible off the guy. $325! Only a 2.3L 4-cyl with the A4LD automatic trans, and it needs some interior (mostly electrical) work, but for that price, even with its problems, it was a steal!

How do I get to the secondary hood latch? After I pulled the main hood release under the column, I couldn't find the secondary release under the hood itself for the life of me. Felt around, no luck.

Thanks...

I don't know about the87's, but my 93's hood latch is locatedsomewhat to the passenger side of the car, right underneath the frontof the hood (where the grille area is at)... I'm not real good at explaining thing's, but I hope this help's you out!

Thakns, RED93'2.3L.

I took it to the local dealership yesterday to get an answer to the hood issue amd also on how to do the power convertible top manually (Couldn't find the latches, turns out ot the handles on the side, which just needs some lubricating in my case. Now they work good, even though some part of the power system that raises/lowers to top is shot, so it's a manual job for now, though I don't mind.

By the way, the hood latch is in the same place on my '87 as it is on your '93.
