You could try for an 8.8 posi-track and control arms.....but you're at the "dumping a boat load of cash into it" to get more power stage. Go to supersixmotorsports.com or http://www.ststurbo.com
both will be happy to take that boat load of cash .....

Oh yes..the nitris ..... there is always the funny gas
nitrous?

we have 7.5 rear ends so a 8.8 wont do any good, a posi or t-lok will help, along with gears, they dont increase HP but will give you better acceleration
[sm=wtf.gif] THINK about it. An 8.8" would do MUCH better than a 7.5". Stronger, and has the T-Lok built in already.
But there's that "boat load of cash" issue.
i thought he ment buying a 8.8 inch posi for the 7.5, not swaping it, oops,

I wish my inflatable dinghy was full of dollar bills, then I would be able to do something big to my six shooter, haha.

Anyways, I agree on the gears and T-lok. I say get either 3.73's or 4.10's, the T-Lok(basically is positrac, stand for traction Lock, etc) and the 23 tooth gear so the sppedo isn't all jacked up. Worth it, would really wake up your stang. And with your CAI and U/D pulleys, you'd get the most out of these bolt ons.

EDIT: Reread your post, adn realized you don't have true dual exhaust yet! Get some Flowmasters or Borlas on your Stang before you go any further.

sorry sorry forgot to list the exhaust. Soon as I get the taxes back its going straight under the car. Now can you explain the 8.8 and T-loc to me because I have an idea of what it is, but none whatsoever of how it works or where to find one. Oh yeah and with the exhaust what would be better Pypes or Flomaster and do I need to get an h or x pipe or should I just run each pipe straight off the header out the back?

your differential (rear end) is a 7.5 and 8.8 is naturally bigger, stronger and has a t-lock installed already. A t-lock http://www.v6mustangstuff.com/V8drivetrain2.htm

It makes both rear wheels turn kinda like posi-track.

I would use a combo.....Pypes CATs, "true duals," flowmasters....look at my pictures...I also have Long Tube headers

the 7.5 will be fine for under 300 HP, just PM autobadges and get 4.10 gears and a t-lok for a 7.5. is what happens is V-6s have a open differential, which turns both wheels until 1 wheel looses traction then 100% of the power goes to that 1 wheel, a t-lok locks them both together, 4.10s make the driveshaft spin more to turn the tires once so you reach the power band quicker

see the 1 dark mark is from a 6, the two next to it are from my buddies GT.

DO NOT ATTEMPT IT unless you know what you are doing. You will need to set backlash, and the crush sleeve. It takes experience and special tools to do it right without damaging something.
