Default A question

OK, just incase you guys are wondering, the Cobra deal fell through, so here's my question. Ever since my dyno I lost a lot of intrest in my car, so what do you guys think I should do? Do you think I should go ahead and get the engine fully ported, add in a performance cam, get forged engine components, and possibly a T/C or S/C just to possibly get to 250 RWHP, or should I just go ahead and see about getting a new 05 or 06 GT that already has 260 RWHP, because my cousins wifes dad runs a Ford dealership in Kenner and he can sell me a new GT for just a hair more than what the dealership paid, like if the MSRP is 27K and they paid 19K, then he would sell it to me for 20K or less, and give me top dollar for a trade on my car. So here's the real question, should I spend the 6-8K just to make my car fairly fast, or should I just go ahead and see about getting a new GT for dirt cheap that's already fairly fast, but will cost a lot more, but is new. Just thought I'd ask for your imput.[8D]

damn, I would trade in my GT if I thought I could get an 06 for 20 grand. you gotta realize that not only will you get a better motor, you also get a newly engineered chasis and a nice warranty. the 05-06's drive very smooth for a live axle car.

actually the essex block is alot stronger, but the new engines respond better to mods, i dont really like the 05s so i would say turn the 6er into a GT killer. start with some 4.10s

a strong block doesnt mean much if you don't have anything done to stress the block.

and i wouldn't wanna own an 05 in about 10 or 15 years when all the newfangled computer bull**** starts going haywire, thats the main gripe i have with them

Yeah the ride has to be way worse on an o6 than an 8 year old car. Get the GT

well, i drove both, and I trust my ***, so I'm gonna go with what it says to me. yes, I talk to my butt, joo gotta problem with that? it's probably a rough ride compared to a family sedan, but not compared to a 99-04 GT. it's not really gentler, it's just that the rear end stays put a little better. they got rid of some of the "mustang float".
