is a 4banger tranny the same as a v6 tranny? also will it handle the same power?

 

No and Depends on the 4banger...

 

the 4 banger has a t-5 and the auto version is the crappiest auot they have ever produced called the al4d. The t-5 wont handle as much power as the 5 liter conterpart and plus its geared for crusing.

 

Geared for cruising? The gears in a 4 cylinder T5 are more aggressive than the 5.0 and 3.8 trannies. The early ones are even more aggressive yet.

The 5-speeds are similar, but arnt a direct swap. Automatics wont work at all.

 

yeah the 4 banger t5's have to be geared up so the car can actually get out of its own way. i think first tops out at like 15 compared to about 30 or 35 like the world class t5's do

 

so can it handle the same power as the v6 tranny?
