Hey guys need some advice and whatnot...

I plan on buying me the 11psi procharger kit soon, but not until i rebuild my motor with forged internals, new heads, new cam, a rear end overhaul, dual exhaust with BBK shorties... and all of the basics first of course... now here are some questions i would like anwsered(please no i thinks!)! And funds wise, im taking out a loan for all of it when i turn 18... im serious about doing it...

1. Should i get 4.10 gears? Or will i have traction issues? And if not which gears?
2. The kit says is comes with a Factory 6 rib drive system, what exactly is that?, i prolly know, there just calling it something weird!
3. Should i buy 25% pullies before i do this? because after i get my SC, wont i need SC pullies anyway?
4. It says on a 94-98 mustang the avg. hp comes to be 270 on a Stock motor, now how much horsies am i prolly going to get with new comp cams and race heads, with all of my other mods(i know headers create horseloads(maybe 15, to me thats alot!) of horses with a SC!) What do you guys think ill come to, my guess would be like 320rwhp
5. This isent a question, i just would like to state this before redass and others say... just buy a gt, i dont want a gt, if i wanted one i would of bought one...

Thanks for all the future info, i know Autobadges will know about this stuff, but if anyone else has experiance please share...

Well Erick at autobadges has done just about everything that can be done to a six, and he is pushing about 320hp, but he'll correct me on this. One, get gears, 3.73 if you do a lot of hwy time, and 4.10s if you don't drive your car a whole hell of a lot and can take about a 30 mile or more gas miles per tank loss. Also, get a traction lok, this will increase your rwhp a hair, and will give you much much much better traction. No you will not need an 8.8" rear end, your stock 7.5" is perfectly fine. Now I have an sn95 and with all of my mods I dynoed at 125 rwhp, so if you get an 11psi, I'll bet that with all of the mods you listed, you may be around 250 rwhp to 275 rwhp, but I don't think it would come out to be any more than that, but who knows. Also, Erick had to reinstall his factory crank pulley, but I think he has a supercharger, but yet agian, he'll correct me on this one, but a crank pulley, won't free up but maybe 5 rwhp on our year, so stick with the T/C for now, as that's where your hp gain is going to come from, because you can always go back and take the 30-45 minutes that it will take to install a crank pulley, and maybe a waterpump pulley.

go with 9.5:1 forged ross pistons and I-beam rods.

the UD pullies will not work with the procharger kit

factory pullies are 6 rib so it means the procharger pully is compatable with them

don't even bother with the BBK shorties. they will not outflow the factory headers you already have. i reccomend Mac Long tube headers with the blower. you could pick up 15-20rwhp with them over any shorty header with the procharger

the 11psi kit on a completely stock 98 will give about 230rwhp using the procharger FMU and stock injectors. with a correct setup using 42lb injectors,SCT Big air MAF will get about 245rwhp on a stock 3.8

going 9.5:1 with a beefy blower cam Big Valve ported heads and ported intakes you can make 300+rwhp

for your engine parts i reccomend talking to Mik at www.rpm-mustangs.com about your powerlevel goals and he will put the combo together for ya. he is a great guy to deal with

for your tuning needs and procharger Kit talk to Justin at www.vmptuning.com give him the specs of your engine setup and he will get the MAF,Injectors and Chip setup for you. you will need to dyno tune it also

my 98 made 227rwhp and 267ftlbs with the procharger kit on a stock engine except 1.8 rockers. it also was runing the stock MAF,Injectors with the Procharger FMU.

here is a pic of my firs dyno sheet

do not use the Procharger FMU. it is not precise enough to keep you car from detonating with the procharger kit. i had mine turned all the way in (full rich) and it was still too lean especially on a hot summer day. it is the reason i lost #6 cylinder compression

if you have any questions just ask i'll try to answer them as best that i can about the 11 psi single port setup. i am currently trying to save up enough money to finish mine. i will be running 18-20 psi on mine and shooting for 400rwhp

go with 3.73's and a detroit truetrac with a TA performance girdle.

i had 4.10's on my procharger setup and could not keep traction in first and lost traction easily on the 1-2 shift. i have 3.73's now and it has managable wheel spin now. 4.10's were just too dangerous on the street especially in the rain. tap the gas slightly in the rain on a turn and there goes the a$$ end and your car is now in the weeds or worse
