Yea, you could, but that's for GT cutoffs, they mount up to your y pipe just behind the cats, then the cutoffs weld on to that adaptor, oh GT cutoffs are just a basic solution, because they don't produce the best sound. I say, if you want to be leagal, get the x pipe for a v6 off of mustangtuning.com, or if you want a deeper sound, get an off road x pipe, it removes that cats which really frees up air flow and makes a much deeper sound, but you will loose a little back pressure, but the x pipe will help generate a little, but it will sound awesome. Now the best two dual exhaust kits are Borlas and Magnaflows, they will generate the deepest most mellow tone out there for a six, Borlas will run about $700 or more, but the quality is excellent and the sound is awesome from what I've herd. Magnaflow is the next best thing, and that's what I have, and I wouldn't trade that sound in for anything, well anything on a six. Now if you don't have a lot of cash, then pypes and flowmasters will do, but be warned, both kits can get a little ricy in the upper revs, as they were really intended for V8s. Also, if you get off road pipes you'll need MIL eliminators, to stop you from tripping your O2 sensor.

You need a V6 x pipe, call mustang tuning up and see if they'll bolt up, if not, look on ebay for one, but good luck, and no, GT x pipes will not work, and yes you need GT catbacks.

Or you could always do what I did. Have the muffler shop make you a custom X-Pipe setup.

Yep, that's the right cats, and call pypes up just to verify that that kit is for a V6, because I can tell you that the picture is a V8 x pipe, but sometimes they use universal pictures, so call them up tommorrow just to verify.
