Replace top on 93 convertable?
I have the opportunity to buy a 1993 Mustang. It's a convertable, but the top is pretty beat up. It leaks water right above the driver's seat and the back glass window is falling out. How difficult would it be to buy a new top and install it myself? Or would I be better off having a body shop do the work?
Consider paying $900-$1,000 if you take it to an upholstery shop. If you do it yourself, consider spending a whole weekend or two working on installation. You may want to get some quotes from the pros just to see if there are other things need to be replaced other than just the top.
