BOTH!!!!

Personally I went with looks FIRST bc I didn't want to drive around a crappy looking mustang that had power..I wanted to drive around a sweet looking mustang and THEN add the power to back up the looks so you feel proud driving it around and even prouder with you beef up the engine

It's always performance first, but make sure your car has a few exterior mods, to dress it up a little and define it as your car, once your done, then do a full body kit and all of that other crap. Here's another reason, you can do way more performance mods, dollar for dollar then you can body mods, hell a cheap urathane body kit and a full paint job will run you at least $3000, hell, there's a S/C or a T/C right there not to mention a new wing, which could buy you a cai and pulleys, and a new hood which will be a tuner.

also must consider what model you have. I have a 98 and performance parts just dont grow on trees for that year.

Do you like cool looking cars or fast cars? Or both? Nothing gives me wood like a car or truck that not only looks badass but can also blow the doors off of almost anything. To be honest what I'm doing is going with 1 or 2 appearence mods and then going with 1 or 2 performance mods and back through that sequence again. So for example I got my windows tinted, and now I'm going to get either a chin spoiler or a intake. And possibly a UDP after the intake and then maybe a chin spoiler. It's up to you, but that's the way I'd prefer to do things.
