oil
im gettin ready for an oil change, i have always used mobil 1 extended performance, mainly because i have seen good first hand results from this oil. I have always heard good thing from royal purple but never had a place in town to buy it until now. We just recently got an O'reilley's in town so should i stick with mobil 1 or go to royal purple
no opinions about motorcraft vs. synthetic either please, just give me an A. or B.

i've always used mobil 1 full synthetic. more importantly than your choice of oil, since both are excellent, spend the extra money and get a good filter otherwise it won't matter. i get the mobil 1 filter, it's more expensive but it will let you extend your oil change to 7500 miles.
really??
my uncle has been around the shops for ever, he normally rebuilds wreckers with cosmetic damage, he always has ran mobil 1 synthetic and has had plenty of his engines checked out, (he doesnt get into that too much) like the timing chain, ect. and all have been amazed at the quality of the internals

I've run Motorcraft/Penzoil 5w20 in my past 4 Fords without a single issue. It's what the factory uses and recommends, so i take the word of the people that spent billions of dollars developing what I drive. I've had no problems, ever, and therefore can't justify the expense of synthetics. Now if I had a Cobra that ran Mobil 1, then Mobil 1 it would get.

Lol, I know I get preachy on stuff like that!
It's kinda like the old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" so I'll just stick with what I got. I just like to make to post for the "less-informed" members that browse through the topics, mainly to keep them from misleading themselves.
I have used Royal Purple, RedLine, and Mobil 1 in many cars, religiously, but I never really saw any difference other than in my wallet. Mind you I have blown engines with all these oils, and conventionals. So as to my opinion, since I of course have no scientific data to back it up, I recommend da ragulah! lol
