i was thinking about getting into mustangs, but the gt's are hard to come by and also carry a much higher price tag. so i would probably end up with a 5spd base model, is it worth it and are there alot of upgrades to get this car over 200+hp

94-98s will be fairly hard to get to 200+ rwhp, you're pretty much gonna need an S/C to do so.

 

you're better off getting a 99-04 to get over 200

 

gts are not very hard to come by. where are you looking?

 

unless you live in europe, GTs are a dime a dozen, just like the v6.

 

in new york, i didnt mean hard to come by, but hard to come by for around 3k, i cant see spending 6k+ on a project car

 

if you wanted a fox body, you can get one of those for 3k EASILY with really nice mileage.

If you live in the DC area you can get a 96-98 GT for around 5k no prob. BUT you could get a 99-00 v6 for 5k too and save money on gas and insurance.

Or you could get a 99 GT.. for about 8k here.
