ive been reading a few topics here and there about people wanting to do cosmetic mods like body kits or some wanting to make their cars look like cobras
now alot of mustang owners frown on this and call it "misbadging" or "posing"
now this kinda conflicts with what i had planned to do in about a year or so
i kinda wanted to put a cobra front bumper and a spoiler put on but it dawned on me that it could be considered misbadging but my reasoning behind it is the fog lights on the 94-98 cobras are awesome looking and the regular ones arent too flattering (no offense j thorn)
would me putting on that front bumper make me a misbadger?
any thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated (especially at the risk of being labeled misbadger or ricer)

 

if you want to put it on, go ahead, it's your car. i don't consider a front bumper to be posing. the stock v6/GT front bumper looks like *** anyway. it's when you go all out and do a complete clone, complete with badging that it's frowned upon. but again, it's your car.

 

It's not really misbadging unless you actually but the badge of a different car on your car. Which you're not so go for it.

 

ya like they said wen u go all out and badge it like a cobra and make it look exactly like 1 then its misbadging, but just a front bumper isnt gone to hurt any. it doesnt make u anything than being creative.

I would do it if I were you. Just leave the v6 emblems on the sides. The cobra bumpers look a lot better anyways.

 

go for it, just dont get carried away and make people think its a cobra, n def dont claim it to be one n ur fine

 

Even a total cobra body kit would be fine, as long as you don't go around pretending it's a Cobra.

And the bumper looks better anyway.

 

i'd give anything to run into a v6 cobra clone on the road though. it would totally make my day.

 

Yea I'm sure u and ur STOCK GT would kill it
