Default ever get that feeling?

that no matter how much money you save up and spend your car will never get any better? like its a black hole that just keeps sucking paycheck after paycheck and never gets any better?

i keep having to spend money repairing rather than modifying my car and to be honest its getting kinda depressing
i see other kids with newer cars that dont break down and they get to use their money actually doing cool stuff to their cars

i mean i had the money for exhaust and then my wheels hubs go bad so i had to replace those and my dad said that while we had those off we might as well give it a brake job too so we got two new rotors, had two turned and got 4 new pads

i had the money to get my top changed black but then my tranny went out on me so i had to drop $1500 and im in the process of paying the remaining $700 of it back

i also ****ed up and destroyed two of my rims and had to get 2 new rims and tires for $500 but my grandma and my dad got my back on that one

now i have a bad feeling somthing else is gonna go wrong
nothings been acting weird or anything and thats whats worrying me, ive heard horror stories about the head gasket blowing on the 94-98 and having a 94 with 130k+ on the engine worries me even more

some of you may know my dream of ripping out that ****ty v6 and dropping a 5.0 into it but ill probably never get the money to do it
and then people say why dont you supercharge it or somthing
but my thoughts on it (and yes i realize there will be some of you who disagree but) you cant take chicken **** and turn it into chicken salad

any of you guys ever get that feeling? because its been eating on me for the past few weeks[X(]

Well,
I definitely hope you find good luck with your car. I know I am new to the site, but you have to look at it for what it is . . . . a machine. With all the intricate parts, it is bound to have something happen. I have a friend who has a 2007 Ford F-150 who finally got an okay from his attorney to go for the "Lemon Law". How is it that a brand new car can have issues? Stay positive and know that you are not the only one.

Also, what are the difficulty and risk levels for upgrading to a 5.0L versus the V6? What kind of cost are you looking at? I have a 1996 V6 and may look into the upgrade myself.

Stay up!

itll be hella difficult thats for sure, id have to rely on my dad for alot of help but the mod potential for a 5.0 is way greater than the 3.8
that and you get way more out of the box power
around $1500-$2000
since youve got a 96 that had the modular v8 in it, it would probably be easier to go to a 4.6
the 94&95 had 5.0's

What I would do is stop putting money into your current vehicle unless it is absolutely necessary to make it run or to prevent a hazard, and instead save up that money to put toward getting another car. The tranny fix was necessary. The brake job was not. See my logic.

Save up some money for a year. Then sell your current car. Used the combined money to get a better car. Or, I'm not sure how old you are but I'm pretty sure if you're 18 or over and you've been at your job for at least a year, you can take out a car loan on your own. If not, you can always get your parents to co-sign. So that's another option. And you can still sell your current car to help payoff the loan.

Well, a lot of people in hell would like a popcicle, as well. lol. A Mach 1 might be a bit expensive. I'd say, save up for a year. By that time, you'll be 18 and you should be able to take out a car loan on your own. Sell your current car. Combine the money for a down payment on a GT and make up the difference with the loan.

Get your grandparents, parents, or someone with sweetcredit to help you get a car loanwith a low intrest rate. I had a 94 mustang thatI sold and paid off the rest on my 03.

Lucky you. Make sure you shop around. Do your homework. Don't be temptedto buythe first pretty car you see.
