Default head unit swap question..

i have a late model 2001 and i put in a nice head unit.. my question is, if i get a GT and its a 99-00, dont they have different dashes?

so will my head unit now fit in an early year new edge with no problem??

confusing post. idk how to word it..

The aftermarket units have two 'standard sizes' (and a few specialty models) ... DIN & Double-DIN. If your 2001 head unit is DIN size, then it'll fit in a '99/00 ... otherwise you'll have to change out the dash bezel & (possibly) other parts.

it will fit, if you get one for the 01, you will have to buy a plastic piece that fills in the empty space. for the 99/00 you dont need that plastic piece, it just snaps right in. so you will just set that plastic thing aside and not use it. as for as the connections. they will probably all fit but if they dont thats a 5 dollar fix. now if you have a mach460 in either one of the cars then the wiring gets slighty more difficult. to sum things up, yes it will work.
