Get a cai from eBay and save yourself 120$ or so.....

Their are no cheap ways to effectively improve hp other than nitrous.

eBay ... approx. $50, shipped. You can do a search for the following terms: 99 Mustang 3.8 Cold Air

Make sure any seller you're interested in has a lot of feedback (I suggest around 99-percent positive because you can't please everyone) before you bid/buy online. There are plenty of installationinstructions for these kits online (with good photos & suggestions) if you want to research the install/fitment before you dive in. It's a minor modification, but the easiest Hp/$$ you'll get.

Do it ... you won't be sorry.

wow great price. So is there really much of a difference between different manufactors of these cai's or is it all the same ? I'm just trying to figure out why the price varies so much. From like $179 on americanmuslce to $50 on ebay.

The main price difference is the chrome peices. The chrome on the cheaper kits tend to fade a bit over time, while the more expensive kits keep their shine.
