Daily Driver 08 v6?
Just curious how many of your cars are daily driven? Right now I have an 06 Taurus which is a great everyday car. But with prices on some 08's with real low miles coming down I was considering picking one up.
How are they in the elements? (Rain & Snow) I am considering picking one up but the winters in Western Pa, Ohio Valley can be a bear sometimes. That is really the only thing holding me back as of right now.
I assume they are probably just about as good as any rear wheel drive, light rear ended car would be, but was curious what your opinions are sinse you are the expert if you own one!

Mine's a DD, just got over 103k on it now. I have my DR's on right now and made it through a nasty storm yesterday on the way home, just had to go slow of course.
A new one will only be better than what you already seem to have, but I'd add a posi unit.

Mine is too! I'm planning on supercharging it and still keep as a DD. It kinda sux in the winter time (depends where you live), so I have to put the sand bags in the trunk.
Thanks again! The rain is not an issue as I don't drive like a moron, and I don't intend on doing much outside of driving it back and forth to work everyday.
The only thing that is holding me back is snow and it being rear wheel drive.
And of course I just found one I want!
btw...I live 45 mins south of Pittsburgh where it snows pretty good throughout the winters

I bought mine specifically as a daily driver, commuter, and long distance car. I bought it in March, and it now has about 7K miles on it.
With mileage and control in mind, I got the 5 speed. If you know how to drive a stick, it can really get you out of a jamb. Also saves money on the initial purchase, better gas mileage, and less maint.
Snow and bad weather are always a consideration. But I went to HS and learned to drive in upstate NY; lots of snow and bad weather there. Everything was RWD then. Not many people could afford 4x4's, either. It really wasn't that big a deal then. You put on snow tires, learned to drive, and slowed down.
Back the Mustang. I'v driven mine in rain and light snow, nothing big. With the traction control, it did just fine. It doesn't have LSD, but I think the traction control did just as well; maybe even better.

RWD sux in the snow ... I drive my Mustang when it's nice, and my wife's Taurus when it snows. It's nice to have a choice.
the rwd makes the car more predictable! i live in western mass and i got an 07 mustang its not bad in the winterand its my d/d i"ve never gottensuper stuck niether assuming u get traction control that helps a ton
mines my dd as well i love it in the snow if you know how to drive in the snow or on ice ur fine ive had mine since last august and i havent had any real problems i personaly love driving it in the snow its more fun than on dry pavement b.c its a lil easyer to send the bak end out around a turn not the smartest thing but a lot of fun every now and then

i drove mine in the snow a few times and had an fbody i drove in the snow, i ended up buying a pickup for $700 and drove that, but some good snow tires and an LSD rear will help alot, and turn off TCS[8D]
