Keep the 6?
Well, theres a dealership around here where I live thats selling an 02 GT vert with 40K miles on it for $11,000. I talked to the guy and said that payments would be $160, but it would be over 5 years. The really sad part is that he only offered me $3000 for a trade in for my car. The car has been sitting on the lot for like 4 months now, and i could get it in like 2 days if i really wanted to, but i still have to pay for school(loans). The car looks nice, nothing wrong with it that i could see. What do you guys think, is it worth it, or should i continue building up the 6er?
Dealerships usually don't offer jack on trade ins, however, with the lower trade in value, and a little a hole type of attitude, you can talk this guy down easily to around 9500 if it's been sitting a while. All you have to say is "listen I know this car isn't moving, and I'll take it off your hands right now, however only if the price is $9500 - the $3000 you're willing to give me, if not, I'm taking my business elsewhere. Generally speaking, act like an A hole and speak to his supervisor, and they'll make it happen, serriously, they don't make money if they don't make sales, a $9500 sale is better than a $0 anyday.
Yes, worth it in my opionion.

Well, im gonna go talk to the guy again(hes the sales manager), and tell him that i cant afford it unless he either gives me a better trade in, or he lowers the price of the car. But yeah, i was gonna try my hardest to make the price go down a little. But thanks for the advice.
I honestly think a vert is always a step down, more weight, more flex, louder inside, and slower.
I'd get my gf a vert though.
That's just my personal opinion. I also don't think a vert would be all that much fun up north, considering you people live in snow for some rediculous reason.

Why would you want a vert in the north? I mean if you lived in the south Id tell you to pick that sucker up but christ I hated my vert in winter time and we never got snow.
Also, GT's have a larger aftermarket so you could have a good time just doing boltons.
Because supercharging a sixxer just to beat a GT is a little excessive if you think about it.
Just my .02 though

Its worth it in my opinion if you can talk your trade up/ or the price down a little, but its still a good price even where it is at imo. I just traded my 00 V6 with 72k miles in a month ago and got more for my car than you were offered, but my GT was listed at $12,900 too so it was pretty similar to you price wise. If you want a GT I would do it, cause I am a lot more happier with mine now over my old V6.
