Default HELP!!!

Ive had my 2002 mustang v6 for almost a year, and want to make it faster.
I dont know very much about tuning cars and I don't know what kind of things there are that arent super expensive and can add a decent amount of horsepower to my car. If anyone knows what i can get please tell me!

Hey Harry Welcome aboard.

Modding a car can be the greatest achievement and also a pain in the ****. There are a lot of mods that you can put on a car that will make it faster and also give you some great gains. There are a few things that you need to keep in mind. Your budget is a main concern. Mods can range from an engine swap, upwards of 1200, supercharger or turbo, upwards of 5000 new, or a simple cold air intake (CAI), $100. Also another thing you might want to keep in mind is what your future plans are. Do you want a street machine, a little more zip, or a full out drag car? If you are looking for some zip I would recommend CAI, headers, and exhaust. CAI off brand will be fine your looking at 100 bucks, headers check out americanmuscle.com bbk shorty headers $279 plus tax and while you are there look at the pypes catback exhaust system which will run you $389 plus shipping. There are many things that you could do. Just browse around and check it out. I am also sure some of the other members will throw in some advice as well.

Welcome to the forums! I know you mentioned not spending a ton of money but i think for a V6 mustang one of the best mods would be a turbo kit. Fairly expensive, but it will certainly get you that power that you want. Just read up on as much as you can and see what fits your style
