Default gt imposter? Noob, help!

First post here, been reading for a while now.
So I have been keeping my eye out for a mustang for over a year now. I found one at my local dealer, see the link below. At first glance I thought it was a GT, which is what I really want (I think).
Anyway, after looking at it slightly more, I realized the exhaust on the back looked strange, and then later found out it has a V6. Looks like the previous owner added the dual exhaust, the GT badge on the back, front grill w/ fog lamps, and the boss looking rims. It also looks to have a vinyl interior. (doesnt look like leather)

What are some of your guy's thoughts about this car? Is it worth looking into more? I want a daily driver in Iowa. I am looking more for the sound of the car vs ***** out acceleration, although that would be fun. Would the V6 (with a few mods such as adding flowmaster exhaust, air intake) give me the sound and plenty of kick?

and finally, I have an 08 altima 2.5SE as well as a Jeep Cherokee. Would I be retarded to trade the altima for this car? (my payment would actually DROP)

Sorry for the noob questions!

You'd be crazy to pay anything close to what they're asking for that Mustang with those miles. You could get a GT cheaper than that from a private seller. Forget the dealers and sell your Altima via private party and then shop. You're in a position in which you can drive your 2nd vehicle while you take your time shopping. Don't mess around with the dealers unless you have 3 or 4 k to flush down the toilet.

oh, no worries on the price. I would not pay that much either. I was more curious about info on the car itself. My family has a long history with this dealer, so if I wanted to I can cut a few k off it easily.

You can find supercharged 99-04's for less than that, with around the same mileage, or 05+ GT's for that. Keep on lookin' brah.

Oh my god, those tips on that car are stupid small. That looks like ****.

Have you ever actually driven the car listed? You should go drive it and see how you like it, and see how it sounds.

V6 Mustangs can have a good sound with a true dual exhaust kit, some longtube headers, and some proper mufflers.

Or, you could just go with a GT and just add a catback.

Run and don't look back. Get a GT or you will always wish you did. and I have seen bigger TIPS on a Civic DX.

I went back last night for another look/test drive. here are a few things (that should answer most of your questions too)

tips- retarded, of course! However the former owner did install a true dual exhaust, but just didnt go all the way with the GT tips. Not sure on the exhaust make though, it sounded fairly week. However my intension, regardless of which car I bought, is to put a flowmaster or something on it anyway.

power? meh. Didnt feel any faster/more powerful than my altima. Cant say the same for the GTs I have driver
Everyone is right, I would regret getting the V6 when i want the 8.

price- as all dealeres, its an advertised starting price. Obviously I would never pay that, and quickly talking to the guy it sounded like I could get him down to at least 12k and maybe more.

insurance?- no worries. I am 26 with a history of 0 accidents and tickets.

bottom line- I will keep looking for a GT. I have 0 desire to have anything with an older body style than 05.
thanks for the input though!

If you are considering spending $15,000 get a '03 or' 04 Mach 1, '99 or '01 Cobra, or '98-'02 WS6 Trans Am and never look back. A GT (new edge or current) still isn't as fast as any of those. FYI... the Trans Am has the most ***** if you want raw power.
