Too Ricey?
So a while back I saw the new Lexus with a built in Heads Up Display (HUD) and thought it was interesting. Now, I don't plan to put one of these in my car or anything , but I'm just wondering what any of you think about this: Defi VSD X Display
Looks pretty nice, and would really turn heads in a show or race car. Only issue I have is that these sorts of electronics seem like what you might see in some guy's riced up Civic. Still, if someone gave me one, I wouldn't complain. Did I mention my birthday is Tuesday?
No, but seriously.

they have HUDs in all the vettes..
it's a good system, but I wouldn't add it to my car if it didn't come stock. if I was buying a vette, it would definitely be on my options, but everything costs money... do you really wanna spend money on that device where maybe you could get a good radar detector or some performance mods?

They come stock on a lot of GM vehicles, but I'm pretty sure Pontiac/Oldsmobile were the first ones they used them in. They're pretty common as an option now in a lot of their cars. They're nice, cause they're built right into the hump over the steering wheel, and reflect off the windshield, so you don't even notice them unless you're sitting in the driver seat.
