Default Brent's Build

Figured I'd start a build thread so here goes: 2002 5spd v6

Mac L/ts
Mac o/r
flowmaster mufflers
3.73's in the 7.5"
Spec stage 2 clutch kit
lowered with Eibach by UPR

The build will be the spare 98 engine that I have had a while(pics later). I plan to break the engine down to the bare block, order a 4.2 kit from ssm and have the block freshened.

I will be adding pics of the tear down and rebuild.

also I will be changing the front suspension and various body parts. I will try to update the build as often as possible.

If anyone wants to give me ideas on cam's that will go with NA until I go FI thanks.

For a NA cam I would go either 207/214 or 218/224.

Whenever I finish building the 4.2 and trans, I'm gonna go with the 207 myself, just to attempt to keep it a DD

It'll be a weekend car more than likely. I want a cam that will give good sound and performance. I'm either going to build to go m112 or windstar upper/vortech/intercooled. I don't have a specific rwhp I want but 300rwhp will do(I shouldn't have any problem making it)

For the 4.2 kit I will be. The engine I have is from a 98 v6 so I'm thinking I may take the lower intake and heads and try some port and polishing myself. After the p&p attempt(if successful) I will get all the necessary components for a split port swap(minus the upper) and p&p them. Idk if I will go thru vap to get the windstar upper, I may do my own. All in all I want my car to handle decent and have a little more oasing power.

I will not be trading my car for a v8 either(although a v8 may find its way in my stable).

Really depends. My local ford dealership told me like $800 just for a port and polish of my upper intake. SSM sells a fully ported, painted, tb 65mm enlarged, cut and weld upper for under $800. It all depends on the shop.
