Default is this a fair price to sell my stang for

So i got an offer from someone to buy my stang for $4,300. Does this seem fair, the car has some nasty hail damage but only on the roof and is at 125k. It seems like a good price to me from the sellers perspective. What yall think?

I have about 1-2k of money designated just for the mustang fund, so if i can sell the mustang for that price ill probably buy a basically identical car but it's a GT at 140k, bone stock, owned by a married couple.

Counter them to $4800 and see where they go from there, otherwise I would take it.
Just tell them that the hail damage will increase fuel economy by minimizing the cars wake, if they dont believe you then refer them to the MythBusters Taurus Golf Ball episode! LOL

Also you should hunt around more, you can get a 99+ GT with under 75k on the odo with the $6300 that you will have.

Hell you can get a 96-98 Cobra with under 100k for that if you hunt around, though they are going back up.

Salvaged title 99+ Cobra's and Mach 1's are also on the menu at that price.

If you see a car you like for $9k chances are you can probably get them down.

My 01' (In my sig, it has fewer miles than yours too and NO damage) was listed for $4000 and I haggled them down to $2200.

People need money right now and in a lot of cases people dont need their Mustangs, its sad but true.

Well ill keep on looking. If the guy doesnt buy my current stang no big deal. I still really like it and will be more than happy to keep it. But im in a crisis, i have that play money but i cant decide on how to spend it. All i know is i need more power!! I was first thinking of buying a tuner, but then i saw this GT.

The only problem is im so picky about mustangs, it's gota be the right color, a 5-speed, and mostly stock. Im 22 and accident free but i know insurance will still be ridiculous if i get a cobra. And i hate the sn-95 style.

That seems semi fair I would listen to neo and counter a litter higher. I listed mine for 6,200 and I've had a couple of bids nothing serious yet, besides one chick in the process of selling her car who said shed take if she can sell hers. Lowered it to 6,000 cause I want it gone to get the cobalt. The problem being it's technically my parents car and my father thinks its worth more after we put money into it, he doesn't know.

Well im sure your car has less miles, its also a year newer and is a convertable.

But it sounds like im in the right price range. Ill probably just add a few hundred to the price if they want my amp, subs and deck.

The only bad thing is that my car was rear ended in 01' and it shows on carfax, although minor the original rear bumper will eventually need replacing since the bumper and paint is actually cracking, probably due to the impact. And the front bumper is like 6/10 on paint, its rock chips galore. So im thinking with all these factors im in the right price range.

Ya know if you sell it you can get a really nice lower mile Z32 (300ZX) 2+2 or TT.

Hell Z1Motorsports does TT conversion for about $5000 so if you find a great 2+2 that has a bad motor then send it their way for a TT conversion.

Z's are our other favorite cars, really quick and handle awesome.
The styling is timeless both interior and exterior wise.

If you keep your car you might want to give Tiger Racing a call and grab a carbon fiber roof, I think they are under $300 without the scoop vent. Any body shop can put it on for you and finish it in either UV protect-ant clear-coat or paint it.

With your color I think it would look pretty good in finished carbon fiber.

There are no real gains from it, just a couple pounds lost but it acts as part of a whole, just like any weight reduction.

I'd sell: I live in MN as well as my friend whom just sold his 2000 V6 Convert for $4300. It had 140K. He came out good. Especially since when he bought it, it had 128K on it & paid $2800. It was all stock minus the Ford C-springs. The car was getting close to needing a little TLC. He came out good. I mean, i've seen mustang of similar sorts sell for way less. Either way.... best wishes.
