Will yall check out this link and give me any advice or comments you have if you know anything about speakers. Ryan fee free to move my old thread here as the audio section is NO help.

my basic question now is will 2 polk audio db691's pushed by 600w be an overall good sounding system for my portable speakers or am I looking in the wrong direction. I know NOTHING about speakers

speakers are a get what you pay for thing, the more you spend the better the sound so it's more of a "what is your budget?" question. the polk audio db691 should be plenty to please the average music listener just keep in mind that they are 100RMS 300 peak dont pump more than 100RMS into them or they will fry the voice coils (this can be accomplished by properly adjusting the gain and boost levels on the amplifier.)

yea i dont plan on over powering them but i will be using the amp as my volume control and such so i wanted plenty of power so it didnt distort the sound
