Default Tinting questions

Hey Guys,
Just bought my first Mustang, an 09 v6. So far i love it! Most fun i have ever had driving a car that's for sure. My question is how do people feel about tinting the windows? Right now they are stock, and I'm just curious how it would look with tinted. Also what are your thoughts on tinting just the back or going all out with all the windows? Post some pics! Thanks a bunch

pics of your car !

regardless of the color, I think tinted windows just make the car look a bit more badass.

Tint is ALWAYS an awesome mod.

Ask your local tint shop to go dark as possible while keeping it legal.
Make sure you keep the sticker or tag that says how dark it is because cops LOVE to give tickets for tint.

My 01' came with 35% but I dont have a sticker for it so I stand a chance of getting a ticket. Usually they have an optical sensor that passes light through the glass to say exactly what it is but most of them will just eye it.

You cannot be pulled over for tint, however the police will find something as a primary offense if they really want to. That said I would stay close to the legal limit of your state, and not push your luck

Here is mine with 35%

Tinting the windows looks good on any car, so I would definitely recommend it. I have 10% on mine and have never gotten pulled over for it and when I have been pulled over they have not given me any trouble about my windows. I guess it just depends on the cop, but most of them will not bother you.

I have limo tint on the back 3 and love it, I had 10% on the front 2 and couldnt see behind me so I had to take it off. Just something to think about. You go to dark and you have the risk of getting a ticket, or hitting something behind you because you cant see at night.

My rear 3 windows are 3 layers of 5%, the 2 front side windows are 2 layers of 5%, 5% eyebrow and 35% covering the whole windshield. I love it

I've got 35% all the way around. remember though our Mustangs have quite a bit of matrix dots on the rear window and the two quarter windows. Cost can be upwards of $150-$200 because of the fact the person installing it has to be skilled at cutting it perfectly right up to the matrix dot line and it will be warrantied for life.

If you look at the rear quarter window and even the rear window, you can see that the entire piece of glass can not be covered unless you sand off the matrix dots before hand. I have had it stick before but eventually peels off in the corners. ANYWAY- You will love it. Makes a very big difference in appearance. My suggestion is if you want it darker than State Regulations, then offer to pay cash and no receipt. Works for me!
