Terminator front bumper hits hood?
Dropped my 04 3.9 to the body shop this week to get a bunch of work done but one thing they told me that I wanted your guys opinions on. They said that since I am getting a 03-04 Cobra front bumper put on, that the stock hood ( reverse cowl style ) would hit the top of the bumper even when they raise the bumpstops to highest.
Anybody have issues with that?

this is true.
One option you do have, is going aftermarket, and getting an 03-04 "style" bumper, molded to the dimensions of the stock gt bumper. They look exactly like 03-04 bumpers, but fit like the stock one.

Yep, the OEM Cobra front bumper is taller, and the hood is shorter to line up right. You can shim it down a bit to make it clear, but IMO it looks "saggy" then and doesn't flow right with the body lines.
I had a 99 Cobra with an 03/04 front bumper. The 99 Cobras had the reverse cowl hood found on later model V6s. The bumper will hit the hood but it's not that bad, but over time the constant contact with the hood may crack the bumper at the mounts.
yea i had to do the same thing i would post some up close pitars but i still havent got my chin and its a bit embarassing for awhile i just didnt put the rivets in the top and the hood would just kind of push the uprights back then i go motivated to fix it right siiigh layness is a disease
