Default Performance Tweeking

I have a 3.8L v6 and im looking for several things I can do to add horsepower and general performance while spending as little money as possible. I have already put on a set of true duals and I am considering buying a performance computer chip. If you have any tuning or modification ideas please let me know. Thank you.

Cold air intake is a waste of money. A good K&N dropped into the stock air box (removed the silencer tube) and you'll get the same gain.

Long tubes will cost you power down low, but add it up high... so if you do a lot of city street driving, you'll feel slower.

Skip any kind of 'performance chip' as well. Get a real tune or a quality handheld (like SCT) to get actual gains.

Look into an upgraded rear end and gears. It will be a better bang for the buck modification at this point.

I do a lot of city driving but I like the idea of headers. How about aftermarket throttle bodies? Im looking to get more fuel faster. I realy want to improve acceleration if you have any ideas besides a new tranny. Im not realy rolling in cash for that.

Aftermarket TB is a waste until you do major work like heads, cam and intakes.

Gears and then go for something bigger like a cam/head/intake combo.

Personally, I'd do a rear end, then put a supercharger on it and call it a day.

What level of power are you looking for?

Thanks I'll take it into consideration. Any other ideas would be helpful if you've got any.

Nothing you do is going to significantly make a big deal without spending some money.

Gears/tloc is about the cheapest significant thing.
