My headlights come on by themselves. If the key is on, or if the car is running, then the headlights will come on. They turn back off when I turn the key off.

Any ideas?

Headlight is the first thing I would look at. Normally when the go bad the lights won't stay on. They do do tend to get real hot and melt the plastic so I would open it up, pull it out and get a look at it. And if your not already doing it I would carry a fire extinguisher in the car. If it is shorting out that's a electrical fire waiting to happen.

First thing I did was check for ghost but I didn't find any. I suspect the issue is being caused by something that's not supernatural.

my guess is an electrical short in the headlight switch or someone rewired them to the ignition
