Hey guys,

I attempted to jack my car up today, and I didn't check the for the proper jack points before doing so. Long story short, I now have a metal piece of my undercarriage caved in from the weight of the car when I tried to jack it up. Attached is a picture of the recommended jack points from Ford, and the red circle is where I tried to raise my car. Can anyone help me identify what this is, and if/how I should go about fixing it? Any help us greatly appreciated!

 

That would appear to be your floorboard under the rear seat area

You would need to pull the rear seat bottom to confirm.

Get inside the car, pull up the carpet above where you caved it in, and smack with the biggest hammer you got.

 

open the door and stick your backhoe bucket in there, push down

 

Fill it in with bondo and paint it.
