Default Vert Windblocker

Anybody out there know of a convertible windblocker for the 05's? I know a guy who has one for his 03 and he got his from his dealership. It goes over the back seat, attaching to the seat backs and side mounts, and has a fold up blocker. The whole unit folds up and fits in the trunk.

I think that you mean the convertible top boot...you should be able to get that at your dealer.

He means the vertical wind blockers. It reduces turbulence when the top is down. I haven't seen one for the 05/06 yet.

If anyone makes a decent one, I'll buy it. I've driven enough different convertibles with and without wind blockers to understand the value. It would get rid of that breeze going back to front between the seats when driving at speed with the windows up. I'm tempted to come up with something myself out of clear plastic.

Haha, I could make that with $20, a drill, and a trip to home depot! Could work well, who knows... Not dissing you for finding that at all though, it just looks funny.

I usually see black mesh ones one BMWs and Mercedes.

$200 on sale?

That one still leaves a big gap between the seats down low, where most of the wind is coming through right now.

Maybe it's time to run over to Tap Plastics, have them make me a plexiglass piece of the right shape, then over to the fabric store for some black stretch bands to mount it with.

Maybe it's time for someone to start a small business making reasonably priced Mustang wind blockers.

If I was afraid of a little wind to the point I needed something like that, I would have bought the hardtop...

The 05-06 Mustang convertible has very little wind buffeting compared to other 'verts i've driven.
