Default Engine Swap?

Has anyone ever thought to do an engine swap with a SVT v8? New to cars and to mustangs(srt-4's i know alot about) but any info is nice still reading most of the posts but looking now at first exaust and a reflash then mabey CAI? Im looking to get 450-500hps out of my new 06 v6 and figured only way to do that is with forced induction ++mods and N2O. Any Comments Ideas or imput?

Any help for the young new kid would be nice
Thanks in advance.
Nick.

How much money are you wanting to spend? And are you talking about power to the wheels? If so you have a LOT of work to do but i believe it is possible but im sure others will dissagree. Whether you go with a super/turbo or nitrous you're probably going to need some major internal work done also to reach that goal (heads, cam, etc.) Ive seen some '98 and older v6's doing 450-500 rwhp so im sure the 4.0's are capable. But it is going to cost you! Oh yea, and welcome to the forum!!! Im sure you'll enjoy being a part of it. I know i am!

i like what PW said

Customer: "how fast can you make it go?"
Mechanic: "how much money do you have?"

There is one company that will do it for 25K, cant remember the name of the company, but will go through my notes and see if I can find it.

Would you think it to be cheaper to just buy a SVT engine and do an engine swap then mod that engine or just keep the 4.0 v6 and use the money for forced induction(when availible). What confuses me is the fact with an Srt-4 you could get those numbers with under 10k spent. Why is it so different for the bigger engine? Could it be the fact that these cars are so new? Just a thought....
Again thanks in advance

There are options for the 4.0 without an engine swap, here is a list of SC, TC and Nitrous options for our cars:

if you are looking for numbers around 400-500rwhp you should look at the powerhouse turbo

yep. the powerhouse turbo is quite awesome. i know the MRT Cherry 6T6 is putting out 350 rwhp with a pair of Garrett turbos. so 400-500 hp is possible. i'm in agreement with other folks that are saying to beef up the internals of the engine before dropping a turbo or blower on it.

Yeah the powerhouse can make 400-500hp with a high enough psi of course, the question is how much can our engine handle before a seal or pistol gets blown.
