hey i got my exhaust on today, and the morons didnt do an h pipe like i told them to ad they said they wont make one because it will leak! also it now idles too low and the exhaust shakes really bad. What should i do? need help here!

 

They should have done what you asked and they should have said up front they wouldn't do it.

 

well their excuse is that the guy told me they couldnt do it (which he didnt) so im pissed. but what do i do about it? and can a ford dealer up my idle speed?

 

need pics did he weld all the way. i just dont get it so many shops cant get those bends right . thats why i used the gt left side pipe. everything was pretty straght forward. install took an hour . just goes to show some shops are better than others.

sound like that to me too, but they said i have to buy the h pape pre built because they cant do it! retards. they did a good job on the rest of it i looked but the re is no h, so it is high pitched!!! im so f***ing mad. i think im getting another shop to put one on

 

That really sucks. I would demand your money back. Most exhaust shops are lazy, at least in my experience. On my first exhaust project, my first shop said they couldn't get my magnaflow kit on right. They installed it and it rattled like crazy. Took it to another shop and they had a guy who did old muscle car exhausts on the side, he fixed it right up in an hour, and $75 bucks.

I would stick it to them!

 

Speak to the shop owner. Not his flunky manager but the owner. Tell him to fix it or you'll file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. If they balk at that, tell them you will list there name address and phone number on the forums so we will never go there. You can also go down to the shop with a big sign announcing how you were screwed. Voice your opinion to every customer that walks to their door.

This can be fixed. It all depends on how aggressive you want to be. But the Ford dealer should not even be involved.

 

yeah i thinki got the guy who quoted me the price fired. lol. he told his boss that he toldme that they didnt do h's, which he didnt, and so i told the manager thisand he was really pissed at the guy. i dont think it will happen to anyone else, but they wont give me any money backor anything, i mean they did a good job and the exhaust guy was cool, it was just the moron clerk who screwed me over.

and i was just wondering about the deasler becausemy idle speedneeds to go up about 50 rpm's and it is reallypissing me off because the idle is low and it shakes and has a bad sound. when i putthe slightest pressure on the gas and the rpm's go over like 800 then it sounds fine(up to 4000 where is is high as hell because NO H PIPE) im going tomorrow to another shop to get them to dit, shouldnt be over 50 bucks, which will put me at about $430 total price
