Default HID question

I was just wondering if anyone here has some information to pass along about HID kits. Im looking for some sort of light upgrade, but I've seen these kits vary in price ($400-1100) and Im not too sure about the installation. All info. is welcomed. Thanks...

I wouldn't mind spending $500 for a good pair of lights. Does anyone know if these kits are street legal?? I read somewhere that they are actually illegal on the road, and should only be used off road. thanks for the info...

I looked at several of HID kits before going with the Saleen kit. I've heard from others that the other kits are NOT plug and play and some harness mod's need to be made. The Saleen kit was by far the cleanest I have seen plus you don't lose your high beams. It took about 3 hours to install but I was taking my time. The kit was $900 through Saleen. I would highly recommend it over the other less expensive set ups.

I forgot you can also look at Scooters pic's. They are posted in the 2005-2006 section. It should be one of the last posts. I just posted there.
