Air Conditioner "CLICK"??

Air Conditioner "CLICK"??
I've noticed an occasional "CLICK" sound coming from under the hood when my A/C is on. If I turn the A/C off, it will click one more time and then stop clicking... If I turn the A/C back on, it will click once again, and then resume it's occasional click. Anyone else have this sound, or know what it is and/or if it's something I should have checked out?
I want to say I've noticed it before in other cars when the A/C is on, but this is definitely a louder click than I've heard before with the A/C on. My hunch is that it may just be the compressor kicking on and of, but I really don't know much about under the hood, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

RE: Air Conditioner "CLICK"??
So I'm guessing this is normal? Seems pretty loud though. May be I'm just listening to the engine too much, as that's mostly what I do, rather than play the radio... it's my first Mustang, so I'm enjoying listening to that deep engine sound I've never had before.

Yes, it's the compressor cycling on and off. Mine was much more noticeable when the car was new, it seems to have gotten a lot quieter. Or maybe it's just that all the rattles drown it out now

Mine was doing it.
Dealership said the "compressor" is starting to fail, and it is probably deppsiting metal shavings throughout the ac system.
They did some type of treatment to try to quiet the noise, I guess we'll see if it works.
