mrt axle back will get you some HP gain for $225, just remember this. with mods you get what you pay for, so I wouldn't go with things like the ebay intakes and stuff like that. It's better to save your money and wait for a better product then to use what you have now on something cheap that you will only see small/none gain with. But the mrt I suggested is a good product, several people here have one and I haven't heard a single bad thing about it.

FearMyMatrix, be sure and let us know what kind of difference the mac shorties do as far as sound/performace. Im anxious to see if they compare the the JBA's.

the AFE intake is a pretty cheap, yet good mod. it is around $200, and it gives you (truely) 12rwhp

if anybody doubts this i am sure afixer will pop up to back it up with a dyno lol

still think the best bang for the buck is a programmer, its amazing how different the car is after.

justang05, i have the jba's not the macs, but i can tell you its much louder now, and above 5k rpm, it still likes to pull, unlike with the stock exhaust manifolds/muffler it started to fall flat at 5k

yeah... I agree.. .the X-cal 2 is the best value. However, if you're looking for very cheap... then a GT take-off exhaust... either a single axle-back or a dual cat-back is a great improvement in sound and a modest gain in power. They can usually be found for very reasonable prices.

yea i noticed how our cars feel like they are gasping for air in the higher rpms, especially on the highway. Im not sure if ill be able to get headers or not cause my mom is being stubborn about it. Apparently the insurance co. doesnt want me to have them or some crap like that. Ill just have to do more talking like ive done with every other mod...
