Default JET performance module

I am kind of new to the tuning side so help me. What is the difference between this module and a tuner (and do not explain to me that with a tuner the user can modify things around) I just want to know if there is a difference between using preprogrammed tune in a tuner and using this module?

Can't use a plug in module on the 05/06 Mustang. You have to buy a tuner SCT, Diablo, and the like. Get one with tunes from any of the suppliers normally used by the folks on this board. My preference is Bamachips, Doug will treat you right and his tunes will wake up your pony. Other guys are just as happy with other suppliers.

it is not a chip, i get the feeling that is something like a retune. but instead of retuning your computer, you connect it to the output of the computer and it modifies the signals from there

anyways, to answer the question, nobody has used it here....pretty much because the xcal is a better way to go. the "module" is unable to be changed to fit exactly your car, meaning that you will never really get the best out of it. with the tuner, you will need to dyno if you want a tune made specifically to your car, but it will be much more effective.

pretty much it is an issue of how much you want to pay for how much power you want

you will see better gaines from a tuner, and mediocre gaines from the JET module simply because the JET is a "one size fits all" and the tuner is customized to your car.

If you get the tuner from someone like Bamachips, Brenspeed, etc. The tune will be done to take advantage of the size wheel and tire you have, what other mods you have and in some cases the air quality and elevation of where you live. Am I right on that one guys?

with jet you might as well not put any other mods on your car because it will not be able to tune for the mods you put on. CAI, Pulley's, Tire size, forced induction. GET A REAL TUNER.
