Default Instaling squential tail lights

Got my sequnetial tail lights today. when I had a look in the trunk of my 06 convertible and peeled back the rear trunk liner, there was no direct access to the light brackets. There's a metal part in front of them. How do you get access to the lights?

I just did my girl's vert. Took all of 15 minutes. You need to take out the plastic liner that surrounds the latch. Then remove the 3 7/16" nuts on each side holding each tail in place. 2 of the nuts on each side are behind the carpet. Flex it back, deep well socket it, and away you go.

Hey guys I was considering getting these tails too. When you brake and they light up, is it like 1,2,3 and it stops as all 3 lights light up? Or do they keep on blinking as you are still on the brake? I want them to just sequential once and then all light up and stay that way. Possible?

The ones I got from WebElectricProducts.com go on 1-2-3 very rapidly then stay on. When you are on the brake and signal, the signal side has no simutanious brakelight function.

I can't see how to access the lights. Part of the back of the car is in front of the lights. Do you have to remove something else besides the rear trunk liner??

there are 3 nuts that you must unscrew from inside the trunk.. then the whole light harness will pull out

When I'm bending the liner back, this is what I see
