Default Newbie!

As a long time corvette owner, I just made the leap to a V6 convertible 2006 mustang, and I must say...chicks dig it! I'm a little nervous about Ford quality, but I'm really impressed with the ride so far. I was going to buy an Acura rsx type-s, but I'm not a 20 year old Asian boy.
Anyways, mods so far (yes I've owned it 3 days and I've added mods already)
17" GT Rims wrapped in Pirelli Neros
Pioneer Receiver with Animated Organic Display
Chrome shift **** with blue LEDs (yeah I know, cheesy)

Future mods
exhaust
CAI
seat covers?

Question: What products do you use to clean/upkeep the ragtop?
Why is the soft boot so damn hard to attach?

Welcome to the Ford family! I've been very satisfied with Ford quality for many years, you should not worry. As for the rag top cleaning the dealer told me to just use soap and water, nothing special. The cover gets easier the more you use it. Post some pics when you get a chance.

Congrats on your new ride and welcome. I'm sure you'll be real happy with your Ford. And don't believe those bastards that tell you it's a F***ed Over Rebuilt Dodge.

I've had mine for 14 or 15 months now and I've never used anything except soap and water to clean the top and it still looks like new. As for the boot, mine is still hermetically sealed in its bag and sitting in the trunk I think the top looks great in the down position without the boot, so I don't bother with it.

You may be on to something Tres. I may just let my kids use the boot as a cover for their fort.
