Anybody else have/or know what it is? It starts up rather quickly after starting my car (within a few seconds), it's coming from outside the car and underneath i think. It's kind of a *tink* sound...happens evey few second (30 or so) It does this whether I'm just parked or if I'm cruising around. Car drives and performs great, but the sound is kinda odd and rather annoying. Sounds like it is on the drivers side, but not sure. Any ideas??

Heat dissipation maybe?

 

A lot of people have complained about how loud the A/C compressor is when it cycles on and off, it sounds like that's what you're describing. Turn your A/C off (and make sure your switch isn't set to defrost) and see if the sound stops. If that's what it is, it is normal. I can only hear mine driving through the parking garage with the windows down, and it has gotten a lot quieter in the 1+ year I've had it.

 

I rarely run my A/C, generally have the windows down. So I'm not sure that would be it, but I'll check it to see if I notice a difference, thanks.
