A quick "Hi", as I've been lurking for a couple of weeks since our 06 purchase.

Info on the car: Legend Lime Pony Package V6

Mods: Eibach ProKit springs, Tokico D-Spec shocks/struts, Steeda Adjustable PHB, HP Design 18x8/18x9 "Lightning" style wheels (38mm offset), 245/45/18 and 275/40/18 Avon all season tires, Street Scenes Black Chrome upper/lower grilles with GT foglights. We're adding a Midwest Composites plenum cover, C&L CAI, Predator tuner, and Motoblue (ASP) pulley in a couple of weeks. That'll be it for mods.

Some crappy late night (last night) pics of the spring install before and after:

It's the wife's car, we traded her '03 Explorer in on it. I'm jealous a bit, the Lime has grown on me, and after the drop with the wheels, I think it looks really good. Better pics to come later.

Other cars here:

99 Cobra (strictly open track car, no street)
98 F150 SC 4x4, lifted on 35's, built Lightning motor (tow vehicle and all around item toter)
99 Explorer XLS, lifted on 32's (daily work vehicle)
yes, Virginia, they is redneck's in Tennessee.....

Nice ride! I also traded an 03 Explorer for my 06 vert. Much better gas mileage from the same 4.0 motor.

Man I really wanted the legend lime, that's the only color I would have wanted more than my black one. No body around here had one though, I would have either had to drive 300 miles or order it in, and I just didn't want to wait.

Anyways nice ride and welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the welcome. We'll be tinkering with the car a bit more, the "tune package" we're opting for is from RPM outlet. I'll stay out of the "Tuner" wars, RPM has a pretty good history of out of the box tunes for Lightnings, which is why I chose them. Additionally, the tune, with the pulley and CAI is in the ballpark of most tune and CAI only prices.

Hmmm, well for mustangs RPMOutlet has a reputation of inflating thier numbers. And I woldn't trust them to tune my microwave.

I agree, and I'll also throw in that most will inflate their numbers a bit. I'm not shooting for a magic "number", only to improve the driveability and shift points, a little more 'umph', along with the off-hand chance at humbling a few stock 04 and down GTs. I'm also aware that RPM doesn't have the greatest reps on the net, but every single tune for their "Lightning packages" has worked out very well. Call it an "informed purchase based on prior history".
