Default muffler removal question

um.....how do you do it?

I got the clamp off between the muffler and exhaust pipe, and that is about as far as I have gotten....the thing won't budge, and I can't get my fat hands in there to undo the bolts on the supports.

Think I can cut a slit parallel to the road to slip the muffler through?

Those bells on the ends of the supports won't go through the rubber gasket and the pipe is stuck to the muffler....

any ideas or links to instructions?

Thanks

I just replaced my muffler with JBA axleback 3 weeks ago.... I sprayed the bells end with WD40 and was able to slip the rubber out. For the fasteners, the one at the back is relatively easy to remove witth a ratchet. Hope it help.

A long extension for your ratchet and a box end wrench and the clamps will come off. I guess you know you have three clamps on the V6 muffler.

thanks for the advice guys...I was trying to do it the lazy mans way because I was laying on ashpalt in a sleeveless shirt in front of my parents house....but I just sacked it up and took the bolts off....after taking each one off with a standard open ended wrench about 1/8 of a turn at a time, I finally got there and finished my mod fairly easily...

just wasn't as easy as I anticipated, but still fairly simple with some elbow grease.
