it looks gppd, thats about the maximum benefits you get from it. I'm going to be creating a functional one in the new few weeks but it will require fabbing a new air tube and cutting a big hole in the hood.

You have dyno and tuner that you'll be going to for that new scoop?

ya once I get a prototype done I'm going to go to a local mustang only shop and have them do a tune for me to see what the gains are. The only thing I'm wondering about is how do you tune for ram air since as the car speeds down the road it will be getting more air unlike sitting on the dyno. I'm sure they will fix me up though.

I'm pretty sure they'd have a fan pushing air into the scoop. If the shop has guys that know what they're doing then it shouldn't be a problem.

One more thing, do you have a spare hood? Just in case?

incase of what? I'll be cutting the hood where it was already designed to be cut. The stock hoods have an insert area for later installing shaker systems. The problem with the shaker system other than the $500+ pricetag is it gives you relatively no gains. It retains the stock airbox in its stock location which will give you like a 3hp gain.

I case you ruin your hood, not from cutting it up, but in case the scoop is junk.
