Default Simple alterations to the engine...

I'm a car novice, or what some people would call.... an idiot.

Now, that being said, what can I do or add to my new stang that can improve engine performance. Like this particular spark plug or that air filter. Things I can go down to Pep Boys and buy.

Thanks, Matt

everyone seems to like the tuner, its a fast easy way of getting more performance. also an exhaust mod of sum sort DEFFENATLY is noticable on the throttle. as for the air intake.... i think the stock one is well liked...

God I hope he catches the part about just f-in with him LMAO

Can you get a tuner at Pep Boys? I don't know, Most of the good mods you may have to order in dude...check the main page of the forums and there are links to several vendors you can get tuner/intakes/exhaust parts/SC's/turbo's/ you dream it you can get it...for the most part I don;t think that you're really going to get noticable performance gains just from spark plugs (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

For a local parts store, you might only find a muffler or K&N drop-in air filter. Really, the best bang for your buck mod is a good SCT X-cal 2 tune.
