Mine's hardwired on. It really is better than the FM transmitters. I used to have this one, and it was pretty good: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1124432781049

If you're interested in getting it plugged into the aux input, here you go:

JUst double checking, it looks like if I wanted to I could wire it into the glove box. Is there enough wire to allow me to have it sitting in my cup holder when I want it out and tuck the adaptor away in the glove box when not in use? Also did you install that yourself or have someone do it?

I had it done because I didn't want to mess with tapping it into the power socket wiring. If you can do that, it's not too hard to install. It's just a matter of taking apart the console. The adaptor should plug right into the shaker's aux input. If you don't want to mess with the power, you could get a headphone adapter instead of the blitzsafe part. That just charges the ipod while you're listening to it & 20 minutes after you turn the car off.

The wire on the blitzsafe was pretty long, so you should be able to do that w/o a problem. If you don't use it, just try to get a headphone adaptor with a longer cord.

hardwire it. I'v owned 3 fm transmitters, the best one- obviously the most expensive- is still not all that good. Volume sucks, its scratchy all the time, cant go too loud, gets Serius interference and its just bad news.
