Default Loosin' her on turns

Im talking about driving on dry surface ofcourse, when I take a sharper turn at about 25-30 MPH i feel the rear 'sliding' specially if theres a small bump or hole in the road. sometimes even while going straight I feel the rear slipping from side to side a bit on bumps etc., sometimes even tracton control comes in. This is my 1st RWD car maybe thats why in not used to it. But what exaclty is the rear sway bar (that Im supposed to have with the Pony Pckg.) suppose to do????

it could be that ur giving it gas in tight turns?? FWD cars pull out of skids with acceleration but RWD cars skid More with acceleration... just a thought. or perhaps its all in ur head??

That's what makes a "solid rear axle" sooooo fun to drive. It is typical of stangs to do that on bumpy surfaces, ..... the older chasis suspension used to get the car very unsettled jus by running over road surface joins.... the new chasis suspension is much improved but what you are experiencing is a part of the fun

Rear sway bar eliminates the body roll to the ouside of the turn, thus keeping the inside tire in contact with the road.

Thanks for asking and for the answers guys. I`ve been feeling the same skittishness too and since this is my first rear wheel drive (and `stang)I was wondering wheather it was a "characteristic" of the car. I have heard that "you can live with a pony but never tame one"
It will be fun to try!

I have the steeda panhard bar and brace, and it helps a bit. Also, a lsd will help on the turns too, and get rid of the crappy pnero's. I got Nitto extreme 450 275's on the back and the car is solid!
